Amy Bernstein is a partner in the Real Estate Group. She has extensive experience representing institutional lenders in structuring and closing multifamily real estate loans, nationally, which are intended for securitization or other sale in the secondary market, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD. She has specific experience in financing for affordable housing transactions including Bond Credit Enhancements, construction loans and federal, state and local programs and incentives. Amy has represented agencies and lenders in the purchase and sale of large portfolios of multifamily loans. Prior to joining Cassin & Cassin, Amy was in house counsel for agency lenders and Fannie Mae where she was lead Contract attorney and rewrote the Fannie Mae form multifamily loan documents.
