Carmen Pagan is an associate in C&C's Real Estate Group. Ms. Pagan represents institutional lenders who finance multifamily properties via the Freddie Mac Seller/Servicer, the Delegated Underwriting for Targeted Affordable Housing programs and the Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting and Servicing Product line. She brings to the Group experience in other aspects of real estate financing, inclusive of tax-free, like-kind exchanges (IRS Code Section 1031), defeasance, construction, bonds, and interim and permanent financing. Ms. Pagan's other experience is in closing portfolio loans at a national level, cross-collateralized loans secured by properties in different states, seniors-housing facilities loans, offshore loans closings in Spanish-speaking countries, transactions involving low-income-housing tax credits, public finance and federal, state and local subsidies. In her practice, she negotiates ground lease and commercial lease documents, loan documents and resolves title and survey issues. In 1999 Ms. Pagan received the Nassau County Former Prosecutors Award and a plaque from the New York State Bar Association - Trial Lawyers Committee, recognizing her participation in Trial Advocacy competitions. Before joining C&C, Ms. Pagan interned at the New York County District Attorney's Office as well as the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Labor Relations Department. She was a summer intern for the Hon. Kenneth Davis, Nassau County Supreme Court, Hon. Zelda Jonas, Nassau County Court and Hon. Donald DeReggi, Nassau County Court.
